Campaign #3

Whoever claims the Codex Key and deciphers the map pieces — solves the mystery of the ancestors.

  • Autobots

    1. Start
[Ironhide:pointleft] I know this base is in our way but… All these *Laser Turrets*! I’d rather not step in front of that…
[Sunstreaker] I can help you with that… They can’t touch me, but I can wreck them!
      End
Starscream:flinch] Curse you, Autobots! Think you’re so clever? We’ll be back… in numbers!
[Sunstreaker:fistpump] We may be outnumbered, but we are not outgunned!
[Optimus] Well done. We are now clear to continue our search!
    2. End
[Ironhide:fistpump] This is it, the *second piece* must be here! Just look at these energy readings.
[Jetfire] Very *familiar* energy readings. I think… this map is of *Cybertronian* origin. Which means…
[Optimus] … the map leads to one of the lost *Artifacts of our ancestors*! We must find it before Megatron!
    3. lost
[Blaster] This base is surrounded by *Stasis Mines*… We need a strong *frontal attack!*
[npc-autobot] Or you can always return later. Our *Scanner* has found lots of Decepticons out there!
[Ironhide] Right… We try again or fight *other Decepticon bases* to get stronger. Your choice!
      End
[Starscream:pointleft] They’re getting closer. And it’s all thanks to that puny human. Attack!
[npc-autobot] Decepticons are moving in – we need to get out of here!
[Ironhide] Keep doin’ your thing Melody… and we’ll do ours… we don’t run, we attack someplace else!
Barricade has identified his first problem and if the old adage, ‘two heads are better than one’ rings true then he’s in trouble. Yes, Hun-Gurrr is along for the ride too, sent by Starscream to ensure Barricade’s failure. But Hun-Gurrr doesn’t appear to be enjoying the cross dimensional travel….
    4. Start
[npc-autobot:point] This looks like a Decepticon scanning station. We might find some intel here!
      End
[Optimus:victory] Good work – this base is an intel gold mine! Now we know where to look for the next map piece.
[Starscream] Bah… it doesn’t matter. It’s about time our own human started earning his keep.
[npc-decepticon:happy] Just leave it to me, fly-boy. I’ll show you tin-skinned hunks of junk how it’s done…
    5. Start
[Ironhide:flinch] I figure we really kicked the Insecticon nest this time!
[Jetfire:point] Yeah, the ‘cons are throwing everything at us. That, is a *Beam Laser*, and it looks mean!
[Optimus:fistpump] This is it… the big push. If we get the third *map piece* we might know what we are dealing with.
      [Grimlock] That be a first.
      End
[Optimus] Now we have *three map pieces*. Try putting these parts of the map together to decipher its meaning.
[Blaster] Um, slight problem. Map’s encrypted. Without a *Codex Key*, we’re still in the dark.
[npc-autobot:sad] Like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle with no picture to match ’em to.
[Blaster:shakehead] Exactly… I think. Hell… we still don’t know what Megatron’s all hot around the servos about.

    Ending

[Megatron:victory] So near, Autobots… and yet so far!
[Optimus:point] Don’t count us out yet. We’re one step closer to ending your reign of tyranny forever.
[Starscream] Oh yes! Once the *Codex Key* is mine… I’ll see Megatron out myself…
[Grimlock] Grimlock not want much… just want to munch metal.
  • Decepticons

    1. Start
[Starscream:pointleft] Cursed Autobots! All these *Laser Turrets*! Who wants to go first? Not me!
[Swindle] Relax! I can take care of these *Laser Turrets*. They won’t know what hit them!
    2. Start
tarscream] Human – fetch me more *map pieces* – jump to it.
[npc-decepticon:thinking] Want to tell me what this map is… or what it leads to? Ah, I see.. you’re just as in the dark as me!
[Starscream] Watch it – when I don’t get what I want I’m prone to stamp my feet. On whoever’s closest.
[Bludgeon] Starscream – put the human down. You don’t know where it’s been.
      End
[Megatron:pointleft] Soundwave – any word from Starscream?
[Soundwave] He and the human have located the second map piece, Mighty Megatron. But his own ambition blinds him.
[Megatron:tauntleft] Bah. If he tries to betray me and claim the *Artifact of our ancestors* as his own… I will squash him like a titanium-tick!
    3. lost
[Soundwave] Base surrounded by *Stasis Mines*… Strong *frontal attack* required!
[npc-decepticon] That, or we can return later. Our *Scanner* has found lots of Autobots out there!
[Bludgeon] Try again or go fight *other Autobots* and get stronger. Your choice!
      End
[Ironhide:flinch] At every turn, the ‘cons have been one step ahead of us… but not for much longer.
[npc-decepticon] Hey, rust-for-brains, your Autobot buddies are trying to crash our sandpit.
[Starscream:pointleft] Step aside and let me demonstrate… how I pulp *anyone* who gets in my way.
    4. Start
[npc-decepticon:point] This looks like an Autobot scanning station. Chances are we’ll find some intel here!
      End
[Megatron:fistpump] At last – you’ve done something right! Thanks to this intel I now know where the *next map piece* is.
[Jetfire:shakehead] They knocked us down… but we’ll get back up again.
[npc-autobot:point] You better believe it. I’ve got a new lead already. C’mon…
    5. End
[Bludgeon:victory] Now we have *three map pieces*. Let’s report in.
[Starscream:flinch] NO! I mean, not yet. Try putting that map together and see where it leads.
[Bludgeon:shakehead] The Map is encrypted! Without a *Codex Key*, it’s meaningless.
[npc-decepticon:thinking] Back to the drawing board, eh?

    Ending

[Optimus:shakehead] Looks like we’re both still a BIG step away from a conclusive victory.
[Megatron:taunt] Enjoy this brief respite, Prime, from now on… I will stop at nothing to crush you.
[Starscream:fistpump] Perfect. While those two bicker, I will steal everyone’s thunder!
[npc-decepticon] Don’t you *ever* get tired of your own voice?

Where does the data come from?

On the Android platform the game includes a configuration file,
which is used to make in game labels and texts more manageable.
The game code uses various keys, and the configuration file lists
which text belongs to that key.

If you have a app that can show you all the files on your device
(for example FileCommander), the file can be located on the internal storage:

  1. Internal Storage
  2. /Android
  3. /data
  4. /com.backflipstudios.transformersearthwars
  5. /files
  6. /LangConfig.bytes

Open the file using a text editor.
(Sharing the file to your laptop via e-mail or other channels might make this task easier.)
Then look for all labels name script-campaign{campaignNumber} to get a sense on what dialogues are
available in the game.
